Does your forecast for the week look like this?
The upcoming cold snap is all the buzz around here. People, us included, are scurrying around to do last minute things before it comes - water the lawn, drain the sprinkler, grill the chicken thawed in the fridge, and spend as much time outside with Cole as we can before we have to hunker down for a few days. I've also pulled out Cole's cold weather coats in preparation.
Marc said he heard the cold front was going to come in and the temperature was going to drop 30 or 40 degrees really quickly. Looks like it'll be Monday night.
I see some chili or potato soup in our future. Bring on winter! (Though I wonder how we will survive without our morning walk/jog/park time - maybe we'll go explore the rec gym!)
Dana, Kathryn told me about this forecast this morning as I was heading to work - our response is that we're trying to clean out the garage that we've been doing little DIY projects in, so that we can park our cars in there and keep them at least somewhat warm!
ReplyDeleteYes, this cold front has been in the news since last Wednesday! They kept saying it's going to have a hard time having HIGHS that will beat last week's LOWS. It's a'coming! Our response? Unhooking the hoses from the house so they won't freeze and burst the pipe. And thawing some soup in the freezer for dinner this week.
