Weekend activities

From Georgann

Last Friday Cindy and Charlotte were watching Elsy.  They invited us to come hangout with them and have dinner. We had a 2 hour window before our friends were due to our house for cards and dessert that evening so we took them up on their invitation.  A highlight moment:  Grandpa E. gives Elsy a wagon ride.

On Saturday, after lunch at Mary's and Janet's, Mary took Eden and Elsy and their grandmas over to their subdivision pond to feed the fish.  The kids had fun throwing the bread in the water and watching the fish surface to take it.  We saw all sizes of fish, from tadpole size to 4-inch, to 1.5 feet.  Really fun.

Our neighborhood used to be full of Bradford Pear trees.  Over the last 10+ years, after wind and ice storms took out most of them, including one in our backyard, our neighbors still had a Bradford - until this weekend.  Fortunately the fence is still standing and half of the tree is also still standing.  As I told Dave, "it was bound to happen".
