Ladell and Norma asked Dave and me to go to a Royals game with them last Sunday eve. We met before the game at Hi Boy Drive-In for hamburgers. Dave and I had never been there. It was Americana at it's best. We had a great time at the game. It was a very warm evening but the breeze kept us cool. Plus we were sitting in the shade.
The Royals had a great and exciting first inning and then . . . nothing. In the 9th inning the "rally hats" came out which led to a LITTLE excitement. Then a HUGE gust of wind came up, a front moved in and the RAIN came down! The game was suspended, unfinished, until September 20-something. Kind of a disappointing end to our great evening.
Those guys have so much fun together! It makes me smile thinking about them.
