Julie and I have noticed the same is true for our kids this weekend while they've been visiting.
Just now, we got home from eating at the restaurant in Montezuma after going to the farm. Elsy sat there quietly coloring on her paper placemat waiting patiently for her food (which she is so good with a pen!) and Cole was busy busy pushing/pulling the tablecloth, drinking big gulps of water, leafing through books, grabbing forks and knives and straws - whatever his "go go gadget arms" could find.
At the farm, we found a frog. Cole tried to run it down and pick it up.
Elsy stayed back and watched. Anthony picked it up and Cole was quick to pet it. Elsy, I don't think, ever did.
Cole was quick to get dirty and play in the sand and dirt.
Elsy, on the other hand, hated being dirty. She wanted us to "hold you" when her shoes got all dusty in the barn.
And Cole just seems to have a lot less fear, not quite as cautious as Elsy. (Which makes for a few more heart attacks for his mama who's trying to let him be a "civilized" rough and tumble boy.)
But one thing is for sure, they love each other and do really well playing together.
So glad you all are together! Love knowing you are having time together.
