For Cole's actual birthday, Marc and I met him in his crib when he woke up with candles in a waffle singing happy birthday in the dark. He loved it!
For lunch, we got friends together for a picnic at the rec center. We had to move it inside because it was so cold and windy. I provided the apples, carrots, small peppers, and chips and the moms brought sandwiches and drinks. Worked out well. I also had some mini cupcakes and Cole got to blow out his candles again.
After lunch, the weather was nice enough to play outside.
For supper we had Cole's favorite - tacos - with left over rotel from mom and then more mini cupcakes with candles. He loved all the singing and blowing out. We had been practicing for a while before the big day!
