Elsy and Julie in Sublette!
Elsy and Julie have arrived and we couldn't be more excited! Cole's been talking about Elsy non-stop.
First stop: Bill Lower's farm to see the animals.
City girl meets country life
Flower Girl by Aunt Cindy
I got a text from Sue asking if I had Elsy could I measure her for a dress. I remembered Sara had brought a dress for her and it was still at our house. When Elsy got up from her nap I had to beg her to try it on. She finally gave in.
It fit really well and she decided she loved it!! She wouldn't take it off. I texted Julie and told her to expect her to still be in it at bed time.
Finally she wanted to go outside so she decided to change, BUT she wanted to dress herself. She didn't do too bad, I just had to turn her shorts around. She does make life interesting.

Scooping Mud
What mama and son do the morning after a big rain when daddy had his muddy truck in the driveway - scoop the run-off mud into the trash can. Ugh!
(Sunday evening we had a surprise storm that gave us nearly 2 inches of rain in a short time. The streets were flooded in places and Marc's pickup was washed clean from all the mud from the previous rain. Marc sure has been having to fight the muddy roads and fields.)

Zoo Trip
Today we planned a trip to the Garden City zoo with some friends. We had a great time!
Here Cole is dressed and ready in his new zoo shirt from Mary and Janet. Super cute!
Looking at the elephants... (Check out our stroller brigade.)
2nd Haircut
Cole had his second haircut yesterday. This was his first time in a real salon with a robe and all.
He did great! He was a little apprehensive and got a little restless at the end but sat pretty well for the most part.
Turtle
The other day Cole found a turtle in the road when we were riding his "bike". We decided to take it safely to the grass across the street. (I know. I know. If I was a good mom I would've taken it home and found it a box and fed it and taught Cole a life lesson in animal care - but I wasn't that ambitious.)
